Optus Loop Live

Optus Loop Live is a mobile unified communications solution to provide simple business features to users on mobiles and personal computers.

The challenge

The Optus application was experiencing issues, as consumers had difficulty understanding the product and its functionalities – and often associated it with the Loop Pro, a more complicated and heavier version of the service.

My role

As the sole designer responsible for this project, I both led it and corresponded with Optus internal development agency while building out the designs. I conducted multiple rounds of research. I produced sketches, wireframes, and mockups. I delivered final assets and documents, supervised development, verified the live product, and iterated again for multiple rounds.

Defining the problem

Customer interviews

After reviewing the quantitative data, we began to seek out qualitative data that could supplement the information that we already had, as well as identify early issues in the site that could be corrected within the first couple iterations. Testing was conducted with existing customers and users that had never interacted with the brand before.

Extra Info

Technical programming skills can be learned but soft skills, on the other hand, are the kinds that tend to come naturally for the best managers.

Data analises

I began by digging into our historical data, surfacing user pain points and barriers to conversion. Using anonymous session recordings, I was able to put myself on our user’s shoes and identify the pain points when organising documents.

Make

Wireframe – Low Fidelity

Rapid sketch iterations were used for directional discussions. I took feedback from our multiple different departments, and although one department’s interests would sometimes conflict with another department’s, we were able to begin closing in on a design.

Wireframe – High Fidelity

User design feature UX: To improve understanding of the product I created an A-feature with screenshots of the app, plus large, bold text to initially explain what the service does, as well as show the face of the product.

Show more work

The second interaction on the site is educational, providing an explanation of how the app works and the features of the service. The third and fourth interaction on the site is a quick but effective stripe, explaining how to install the program and how fast it is to get up and running.

The Final Design

Pathways are a key part of the Ansarada platform. They guide the progression of activity from pre due diligence in scorecards, through to execution of the deal itself in a data room. In Pathways, only had document organisation, which provides a method for creating subfolders but we know this isn’t working well for our customers.
