Victor Beltrame

In the majority of my work, I focus on the concept of the female lead character. I belive that our social construct has been exploiting the female image for centuries. My art is the opposite of most media’s representation of women, and I portray women as the smart, important and equal humans they are. My belief is that we all have the capability and responsibility to do this.

In the work “Cyber Girl” I have placed the woman as the central axis of the image, with a focus on the head and face – concentrating on the ideas generated in her head.

In other illustration, the female theme is hidden, more subtle or a play on language. “The Tree: when translated into Portuguese (A Arvore) Be comes a female subject, and again a purposeful central element of the work
